Tints of STI College Iloilo at the President's Cup at Antique!

In color theory, a tint is the mixture of a color with white, which increases lightness.

Last March 9- 11, 2009, STI- Iloilo tinted the event with lightness because of the fun, camaraderie and sportsmanship they showed to everyone! I want to share with everyone the fun, excitement and tension that we experienced at the President's Cup 2009 at Antique.

The President' Cup 2009

The President's Cup is an annual sports event of STI College schools owned by Mr. Francis R. Benedicto that includes STI- Antique, Bacolod Main, Bacolod Annex and Iloilo.

This year's host is STI Antique, the main reason why we are in Antique for the past three days.

It started with a parade of delegates and officials from STI Antique campus to Binirayan Sports Complex. At around 11 am the opening ceremony started. It was so hot that everybody was so restless but eventually it ended earlier as expected.

The first game was between STI Bacolod Main and Bacolod Annex which the former won. It was followed by a basketball showdown of faculty and staff, then the 2nd game between STI Antique and Iloilo. Of course, Iloilo won in that match.

Outside the main gymnasium, the Volleyball women of Iloilo were battling Antique and of course they won that battle.

The 2nd day was quite hectic because games was continuous. The 1st game was between Iloilo and Bacolod Annex were Iloilo won. Iloilo volleybelles were not as lucky as the basketeers as they face defending champion Bacolod Annex.

Next game in Volleyball was between Iloilo and Bacolod Main, another blow to the team because they suffer their second loss. Inside the gym, Iloilo is battling Bacolod Main, just in time with my grand entrance, a tension-filled happening occurred inside the court. Our very own Harley Mendoza and a certain Mr. Fabila from Bacolod Main was about to engaged in a fist-fight. It was a tension-filled game that the management decided to stop the game and giving the first win to Bacolod-Main.

P.S. It was the championship round already. Best of three series. The reason why everyone was taking it seriously.

Exaggeration Defined...

Exaggeration means the describing of something and making it more than it really is.

...That's exactly what happened to me when I decided to stay behind for couple of hours in Iloilo City to see my thesis adviser at CPU...

I was supposed to accompany the delegates of Iloilo to the President's Cup in Antique for 3 days and 2 nights. But because of the unexpected text from my adviser the night before I really have to make a tough decision to stay behind and catch up an afternoon trip to Antique.

When the owner of the school asked why I was not around, the "very efficient" administrator of our school told him that Miss Mafe and I backed out of the responsibility of going with the students and that made him fuming mad. It was a case of exaggeration! The night before I called and told her that I will not be able to join the students in the morning but will catch up in the afternoon. But she did not told our boss about it and that gave us a bad impression from our boss that we are not responsible and trustworthy!

How dare her to exaggerate things like that! From the very start of my career us students affair coordinator in STI I am and I was responsible for all student activities that I am into.

How dare you! You can go to hell and I'll see you there!

Separation Anxiety or Loneliness?

Last night I was busy preparing my things for today's trip at Antique for the President's Cup 2009. As I was thinking what clothes to bring, SEPARATION ANXIETY attacked me. Though separation anxiety is mostly for babies, we could not deny the fact that it affects adult also (sometimes). Actually what happened to me is not more on separation anxiety but feeling of loneliness because I was not able to talk or text with my "special friend" for a couple of days already. I was tempted to call him last night but I forbid myself because I have to be objective this time that soon he'll be out of my life considering a harsh reality that he's facing now. That is the reason why I stayed behind in Iloilo for a couple of hours.

When will I get over this? Only time can tell...

Ajuy Galore

Last March 4, 2009, we had our career guidance at Ajuy National High School. It was fun but at the same time irritating experience because we were scheduled to have our talk in the morning, only to find out that the activity was rescheduled in the afternoon at 1 pm.

Imagine how irate I was thinking that I woke up 4 in the morning just to catch up with the call time of 6am, despite of my effort to come on time I was still late and bothered by Jo-an Lacorte of text messages asking where my whereabouts that moment.

Anyway, instead of reacting to what happen, we decided to go to STI Barotac Viejo to catch up with friends and eat our lunch then off we go again to Ajuy.

After the talk we went to the Principal's office for a courtesy call then we went to El Jardin, one of the most popular mini hotel resto in Ajuy and tasted their halo-halo and famous buko pie. It was a treat for us after a tiring trip and a not so good experience.

To look at the positive side of the experience, I pose in every nook of El Jardin to release bad energy. hahaha!

Prepare to be Killed Anytime...

Its been awhile since the last time I opened my blog. The reason is, I was stabbed many times by people I considered dear to me.

I encountered depression and anxiety this past few days because of personal and work-related problems. I know I can surpass all these problems and I will leap one million times forward.
