On July 23, 2009, STI Iloilo had their acquaintance party at Puerto Real poolside. The event could have been a big success if not with the last activity which I found so dragging! That eyeball activity ruined my night!

Dinner at Emilion

This evening after a tiring day of lectures and discussions we decided (Lloyd, Grace Nono, Cheirs Journey and Ryan Araneta) to satisfy our gastronomic needs at Emilion. We ordered food as much as we can and gobbled it like a 'patay gutom.' hahaha!

SCOMELs' Post Election Dinner

After a stressful election day, the STI-Iloilo Student Commission on Election (SCOMEL) treated themselves in a sumptuous dinner at Mang Inasal La Sallete branch!

Election Day

On July 9, 2009 despite minor problems that the organizers encountered, the election was successfully held with the ECHO party almost a runaway winner with all post except for the PRO position where LIL BINCEN LAMBITO of ONE BORD party snatched the position.

Voting started at exactly 8 am and ended at 4 pm. Counting of ballots started 15 minutes after and ended at exactly 7 pm. Official list of winners were posted in the bulletin board.

STI- Iloilo Supreme Student Council Grand Rally

On June 7, 2009, STI- Iloilo Supreme Student Council had their grand political rally on STI grounds. Two competing parties out lashed each other with their fiery speeches.

Donna Kristin Moleta is the vying president of the Echo party and Christian Bob Depalubos of the One Borg party.

New Life- New Beginning!

This morning I received a text message from my one and only love Edward O. Magallanes that he is a certified daddy. It's a baby girl and he plans to name it after me. So I suggested names like Patricia, Christina, Louella, Noelle or a combination like Patricia Noelle Magallanes. I'm so happy for him and his girlfriend.

Yesterday STI faculty went to Mina, Iloilo to pay homage to the departed love one of our dean Ronnie Grabato- his father Rogelio Grabato.

After the prayers and pep talks, we played mahjong and for the first time I enjoyed it and won money, and because of the rain we went home at around 10pm.

The Biggest Hamburger in Town

Last June 30, I was so excited to go to a restaurant in front of Jaro II Elementary School where the biggest hamburger in town is served.

It was so big that even I, with an enormous appetite have (for the first time) LEFTOVERS! Plus their tower ice tea, we were so full. I'm sure people will keep coming back because of this new kitchen ingenuity.

Baby Yani's 3rd Birthday Bash!

After a tiring and a failure bid to gather students for STI at New Lucena and Sta. Barbara we excitedly went to the 3rd birthday bash of baby Yani at their residence in Arevalo. The party started at 6pm and the invited kids enjoyed the games and foods a lot. Of course, the not so young guests enjoyed the party also.

Enrollment Marathon of TESDA

On June 25, 2009 we are tasked to participate in the late enrollment marathon of TESDA. Cheryl and I was assigned in New Lucena while Mafebel Catedrilla and Janice Benliro was assigned in Sta. Barbara.

Personally, that enrollment marathon was a failure for as STIers' because it was intended for short term courses only and our course is not marketable. Added fact that we arrive late, my gosh, it was a big failure not only with TESDA but with the administrator of STI who caused all the delays!

Last June 24, 2009, STI Iloilo oriented their freshmen and transferee students to the rules and regulations of the prestigious institution.

Due to bad weather, instead of doing it at STI grounds, we had it room to room carousel type of orientation. One group started in room 201, the other one in room 202 and the last one in room 203.

It was a success!

I miss my IDC Friends

After months of not seeing each other, Donald De La Torre and John Martinez my buddies in Iloilo Doctors' College (when I was still with that institution) met and had a sumptuous dinner at Mat- Mat's Talabahan in Arevalo District.
